Welcome to the Blog of Kimberly Jarman Photography
Welcome to our wonderful, fun, and always updated blog. My name is Kimberly Jarman and I am the sole owner of Kimberly Jarman Photography, formerly Michelle Allen Photography. I am a wedding and portrait photographer based in Arizona. I love capturing life and moments that mean everything to people.
Enjoy the blog! We try to update often. I hope you will comment... I love hearing from everyone!
I have had many requests to see pictures of my belly.... and although this is very hard for me to post up here for the world to see I had to do it!!!
I am so lucky to have wonderful friends who are photographers! My friend Jennifer Bowen went out with Jamie and I a few weeks ago and took "Maternity" pictures! It was so weird being on the other side of the camera, and in all actuality this if the first time in our lives that we have actually gotten "professional pictures" taken of us... I know, I know.. sad huh?
But, all in all we had such a great time and i'm really happy with the pictures, although I am too critical of myself:):).
It was a fun experience because Jen was making me do things that I make my clients do and I didn't realize what I put you all through to get great pictures:):) But it's worth it right??
So, here are just a few... I haven't had a chance to go through all of them, so once I do I will post additional ones!
Thanks Jennifer for doing this for us... we will cherish them forever!!
Ok, I know i'm a photographer and should know all of the best cameras out there... and when it comes to SLR's I can tell you what to buy and what not to buy... however when it comes to Point and Shoots I have no clue.... they keep changing on me.
I need to buy a new point and shoot camera that takes amazing pictures and I wanted to get everyone's advice on what they think is the best!!! So please leave comments on which point and shoots you would tell someone to buy!
Also, video cameras... if you know of a good video camera I need one of those as well!!!
This is the first American Idol season that I have watched and I was a loyal Tivo viewer... I have to admit that towards the end I even voted on my ATT wireless phone:).
My husband and I are huge David Cook fans... I do think that Archeletta has an amazing voice, but David Cook is a better performer!
Last night my husband and I had a baby class and didn't get home until 10:00 PM so we started watching the show then... we got to the end and laughed jokingly that the Tivo would cut out on us at the end...... yea, well right when they said "and the winner is" ( no joke)... the tivo stopped. Are you kidding me??? Luckily thanks to technology we were able to hop on the internet, pull up You Tube and watch the ending. It was good and I was so happy and excited.
Both Davids are great and are going to have wonderful careers, but I have to say a big Congrats to Cook!!!!
I have a friend from High School who was pretty much like my brother. I've been trying to find a way to find him because he's in the military and haven't had any luck. Well today I found some pictures and a video about him... he makes me proud!!!
I still don't have his contact info and hope that I can get it, but I wanted to share this with you. It's amazing the things these guys are doing for people and it makes me so honored to know Shaun and see who he has become!
So Aidan and Liam turned 2 on May 1st and we went to celebrate in Pinetop! I can't believe how big they are getting and how much they keep changing on me. They are so smart and so cute!!!!
We decided to go fishing so we got some great pictures of them fishing for the first time! Don't they look like little men?
Aidan getting ready to fish!
They had their own fishing poles!
He's so grown up!
So Cute!!!
Carrine, Michael, and little Ethan joined us too. It was really cold though so Ethan wasn't very happy!
Aidan with Grandma.
My sisters husband also has twin nephews and they came along too. This was their first fishing trip and Cole caught 2 fish!!! Amazing.
I love Aidan looking at the fish below.
We also spent time watching my parents new washers and dryers go round and round... amazing how you can amuse the boys!
They found the horsey and could finally ride it on their own! They had an awesome time... so cute.
My friend Melissa just posted about her addiction to the TV show Lost. She also posted a "who are you most like" picture so of course I had to take the test to see who I was most like.
Now I am totally addicted to this show... I think it is the best show on TV and my husband and I watch it faithfully! If you haven't seen it you should go rent them all now and watch them in a weekend... how fun is that!!!!
Charlie... hmmmm... I love Charlie so I guess that works.. although I don't really see me being like him for a lot of reasons.. but guess it's better than some:)
Last week Jamie and I went and got a 3D ultrasound of little Kailee. 3D ultrasounds are strange in that you can really see your baby, but they also make her look alienish and weird. So some of these pictures are a little creepy, but I wanted to share with you all what our new little one is looking like right now.
I haven't posted much about this on my blog... actually the post I originally posted I took off, but I feel that now is the time to share the news with everyone again for reals this time!!!!!
I share so much of my life with you on this blog and give you updates on my business, pictures, clients, etc, so it's only time that I shared with all of you that....
I am having a little GIRL in July!!!
Yup, that is right! I have 3 months left of my pregnancy and everything is going great!!!!
At first I didn't want to scare people away by telling you everything on this blog, but things are going so well and soon enough you will see pictures of her anyways so I thought I would let you in on a huge adventure in my life... this way you can all be a part of the excitement.
First of all her name is Kailee Michelle Jarman and she is a kicker and a mover.
I'm still working full force and have been all spring, we still have sessions in May and possibly some in June ( more on that later). I will be taking of July for the little one's birth and August as well, but the studio will still be moving as I have a wonderful Melanie helping me out now!
So, be tuned for more info on the little one as well as Maternity pictures... Yes, I am getting them done (not sure what i'm getting myself into).
And to start with some pictures, on Wednesday my wonderful photography girlfriends threw me a wedding industry baby shower. I had some of my most amazing and closest wedding vendor friends come and it was such a great time!!! Melissa Jill, one of my very good photography friends took some pictures for me and blogged on the event, so I thought I would share them as well!
Me opening a gift from Jennifer Bowen! I LOVE it!
This gift is from Melissa... AWESOME! I loved it!
Michelle Meyer and her cute little guy.
Heather Crabtree and her cutie!!!
Carolyn Wells and her new 7 week old little girl.
I had such a great time with everyone and was so thankful that everyone came out for it!!! Truly, thank you!!!
Well some of you know that my husband is an accountant.... a TAX accountant... so now that April 15th is over the accounting world is celebrating!
My husbands firm is taking us all to Vegas and we are leaving in 15 minutes so I thought I would celebrate with a post!!!
This is a fun weekend for us so I will not have my computer with me (ahhhhhh i'm going to go through withdrawls), but I will be back kicking and alive on Monday.
Melanie is in the office today so if you need to get a hold of someone she should be there.
Everyone have a great weekend... I know I will!!!!!
My family is one of the most important things to me in my life, so this Christmas I wanted to make sure that we got a family picture. I grabbed everyone who was in the house for Christmas this year, set up the camera, and got some great shots.
My family seems to grow during Christmas because we open up the house to a lot of different people. So we took 2 different shots; one with everyone in the house and then another with just our family.
This is our extended Christmas family... serious and then fun!
This is my immediate family on my moms side. We are a bunch of nerds and I love them all!
Wow, what a week!!! We finally made it back from our cruise and it is good to be home! I admit I did get homesick, probably because I am so used to having internet access and phone, but for an entire week I had no way to communicate with the outside world! It was nuts! We had a great time and had so much fun with our friends Mary Beth and Ryan Tyson.
I wanted to post a few pictures up because Mary Beth already put some up on her blog, so check out hers to see a few more!
Now, I have to let you all know that most of these pictures are with a point and shoot camera and are not good quality. There are a few good ones mixed in with the bunch, but just a pre-warning!!
On the Way to Miami and the first few minutes on the cruise boat!
A horrible picture with my point and shoot, but we are leaving Miami. MB took this one of Jamie and me!
The crazy Tysons!!!
Coming into Puerto Rico. At the Bacardi tour.
This is a fun shot!
Dinner at the Parrot Club. This is with my 5D as well as the ones below of MB and Ryan. I love this shot.
A Mini Photo Shoot!
Our boat at night, it was gorgeous!
Every night that we got back to our cabin there was a new fun towel animal!
This is St. Marteen and it was really pretty. Jamie's goal was to find Cigars for my uncle and we found a lot of places with them. These are with the 5D.
On our last day on Port we went snorkling on a private island.. it was great... (Point and shoot)
I did have to pull out my 5D and get some good pictures of the water and boats.
My Sexy Husband!
On the ship they had a ton of things to do, including live shows. This one was awesome!!
Jamie's First Shot. AHHH!!
Every night we had the same waiters and it was fun getting to know them. This is our Head Waiter and Assistant Waiter.
After the cruise we had a day to relax in Miami so we headed out to the hammocks at our hotel and made phone calls to our family. It was fun. Being professional photographers, we don't really ever get pictures done of us, so for formal night we decided to get our pictures done. It was fun... MB scanned this in for me:)
We had a great time and I was so glad that we could share it with our friends! Thanks everyone for your patience while we were out of town. I am now back in the office trying to catch up!!! Feel free to give us a call if you need anything!
My husband and I are going on a cruise in a few weeks for his 30th birthday and we are sailing out of Miami Florida. We are planning on staying a few nights in South Beach but are having a hard time choosing a hotel..... so my question is for any of you who have ever been to South Beach...
1. Where did you stay? 2. What was it like? 3. Do you have any recommendations for a fun modern hotel? 4. What do you recomend we do when we get there (we won't have a car).
We are wanting a fun boutique chic hotel that is modern and nice. We are splurging so feel free to tell us of the best place to stay!!! Thanks:)
I have to share a very cute picture from last night. My very cute nephews dressed up as horses and had a wonderful time trick or treating for their very first time. They were so cute and loved seeing all the kids walking around and all the different decorations.
Liam would take candy from one bucket and then go to the next bucket and give it back... it was so cute.
This picture is of my sister and the boys. Such cuties!!!
My husband and I are totally addicted to 24 and my husband just emailed me a link to the Season Premiere Trailor!! I had to share because this is such exciting news for all of us addicts!!!
If you are a 24 addict give a little shout out in the comments box. The person who can prove to me that they are the most addicted to 24 will receive a $10 I tunes gift card.
My heart and prayers go out to all who are having to go through this horrible experience with the fires. I have many clients, photographer friends, and other friends who are having to deal with all these fires and it is so horrible.
Please be praying for everyone. My parents have had to go through this many times in the last year living in the mountains of Arizona, so this hits very close to home.
Welcome to the new Blog of Kimberly Jarman Photography, formerly known as MichelleAllen Photography.
Many of you know the story behind MichelleAllen Photography, Michelle is my middle name and Allen is my husbands middle name. Well over the last 4 years the name thing has been very confusing and after much thought we finally decided it is for the best to change the company name. For more information about this please check out the About Kimberly section of this blog.
It’s actually kind of exciting because with a name change comes other changes, such as this blog, my new logo, a brand new studio, and some website changes. We are still the same people and the same photography, but now with a cooler logo and hopefully a less confusing name.
We will continue to update this blog regularly with new pictures from our fun events. We would love to hear from you so please feel free to comment regularly.
