Last week Michelle, Steve and I drove out to one of the local ghost towns to get some fun engagement pictures. None of their family is from Arizona so they wanted some real Arizona scenery. When Michelle had told me this I told her we had to go to the Ghost Town because what better place to show off Arizona!

We got some great pictures and they were total troopers, even though Steve was starving the entire time:)

After the session they were kind enough to take my husband and I out with them to Salty Senioritas (one of my favorite Mexican food places). It was so good getting to hang out and know them!! I had a wonderful time!

Cara and Jonathan

Engagement Sessions are exciting and fun for me! It is such a great time to get to know a couple before their wedding day and we always have so much fun! It's also a great time for the couple to get some really fun meaningful pictures of them.

Most of the time after a session everyone says... oh, that wasn't as hard as I thought it would be! It is a great way to get used to a camera being in front of your face, especially for the 8-10 hours during your wedding day!

This session is of Cara and Jonathan, who are getting married in October! I'm so excited for the wedding! They are such a great couple and a blast to hang out with. From the moment they walked into my studio I knew we would have a great time!

They wanted fun and unique pictures so we walked around Kierland for awhile. Their first date was actually at RA at Kierland, so we asked if we could take some pictures inside and the manager was totally up for it!

I had also asked Cara and Jonathan what some of the things are that they usually like to do together and one of them was play softball, so we went to batting cages and got some cute shots with them playing!

We got some awesome pictures and had a great time! I'm looking forward to the wedding guys!!! Thanks for allowing me to do these pictures for you!

Rachel and Adam's Engagement Session

Rachel called me awhile back and said that I HAD to photograph her wedding! I had photographed her fiance's brothers wedding a few years back and they had told her that she had to call me. So we talked and quickly became friends! I was so excited to do their engagement session and see Adam again; it had been forever.

When I am talking to a couple about where to do their engagement session I try to encourage them to think outside of the box and do something different, something that means something to them. After talking to Rachel we decided that we needed to do the session at Chaparral High School, which is where they met and started dating over 4 years ago. I loved the idea! We started at Kierland to start the fun, and then we headed over to Chaparral High School.

I loved how these guys interacted together and I love that we did something fun and different!

Nicole and Steven

My first session of 2008 did not disappoint me! I met up with an amazing, in love, and totally HOT couple, Nicole and Steven.

We went to Downtown Scottsdale and got some amazing pictures.

They both totally worked it for the camera and their LOVE shows. I love sessions where I just take pictures and the couples do the rest. Beautiful!

Fun times with Jennifer and Nick

So, last year Jamie and I photographed Jennifer and Nicks engagement session in downtown Chicago. We had a great idea to stop off at the apple store so that we could take some pictures of all 4 of us. However, the pictures never got emailed to me for some reason so I have never seen them. Well yesterday Jennifer found the pictures on her computer and emailed them to me!!!! So I finally got to see them and I had to blog them!!

I think one of the most fulfilling parts of my job is to be able to become friends with my clients. I love it that I can stalk their blog or email them at random. It makes my job fun! Jennifer and Nick are one of those couples that Jamie and I will always be friends with! I love it.

Janet and RJ

The 2nd engagement session that I did last week was for Janet and Rodolfo. They are getting married spring of next year and i'm so excited for the wedding. I had met Janet and her sister Kerry before but not RJ, so I was excited to get to know him. They make such a cute couple!

We started off the session at Freestone Park in Gilbert with their 2 kids (their little puppies). These 2 love their dogs and it was so much fun to see them all interact! We got some great pictures of the "family"!

We then did a few of just them around Freestone.


















And lastly we headed over to downtown Gilbert and got some great shots. I love downtown areas.. there is just so much you can do down there.

Engagement Session at The Farm

So right before I left for Hawaii I did 2 amazing engagement sessions, but I haven't been able to get them up until now. Actually I have one ready and i'm working on the other.

Aaryn and Mike are such a great fun couple. We met up at the Farm at South Mountain and had a great time taking pictures! Their wedding is coming up in December and i'm so excited for it!

A Ghost Town Engagement Session

A couple weeks ago I had one of the best times with Allyson and Derek. They are originally from Colorado and are getting married at the Four Seasons Resort in Scottsdale, in November. When they originally came out to do their engagement session in June I got really sick and we all decided it was for the best to wait; i’m so glad we did because the weather was perfect when they came out and we had so much fun.

We went to a ghost town in Arizona and just walked around and had a ton of fun. They did so good and we got some amazing pictures. We then went out to eat at Derek’s favorite restaurant, Chilis, which happens to be my husbands and my favorite restaurant too, so the 4 of us had a great time eating and getting to know each other some more.
