New Christmas Card Designs

I'm so excited that we now have some really fun new designs for you to use to order Christmas Cards. If you would like to order Christmas cards we can use any pictures that we have taken of you so far or we can do some new pictures during the mini-sessions that we are offering.

Below are a few of the designs. If you see one you like just note which one and then start looking for pictures to go with it!!

All cards are $4 each but must be purchased in bunches of 25, so they are $100 for 25.

I also want to give a big thanks to my friend Melanie Jones (soon to be Little), for designing a lot of these. She did a great job!!

Baby Announcement Cards

I LOVE receiving pictures of people in the mail... especially cards that have pictures. It makes me feel special and part of my friends lives even though most of my friends live miles away. That is why I love our baby announcement cards. They are personal, show off your little one, and make everyone happy.

I just finished this design for little Bridgett Stanton. She is just too cute.

We are working on some Christmas designs right now as well, so keep checking back to see those.

Album Deadlines...

We are approaching Christmas and many of you are wanting your albums by then to show family and friends. We have to have a cut off time for all payments and approvals to be in for albums in order to get them done in time for Christmas.

All albums must be paid for and final approved by this Friday, November 2nd in order to have them completed by Christmas time. If you do not get your album approval to me by this time your album will come after Christmas.

Allyson and Derek at the Four Seasons Troon North

Allyson and Derek were married yesterday at the Four Seasons Troon North. And it was a beautiful wedding. I had so much fun last month taking pictures for Allyson and Derek for their engagement session so my husband and I were really looking forward to this wedding.

I was also excited because I was able to work with some amazing vendors; Charlee with Signature events did an amazing job organizing the entire wedding and making sure everything went smoothly. The flowers and decorations were created by Designs by Design and they did an amazing job. And as always Ragan at the Four Seasons helped pull it all together. I love working up there with such great people.

The Dress was a Melissa Sweet Gown and was so unique and perfect on Allyson. She looked Gorgeous.

Thank you both for such a wonderful day! Congratulations and enjoy your rest and relaxation this week, you totally deserve it!

Senior Session

Can I just tell you how excited I am to post these pictures!!!!

Karie is a gorgeous senior and I have been so looking forward to this session.

I LOVE shooting seniors because every senior is so different. I don't think senior pictures should be boring. I look back on my pictures and don't really see me.. I see someone else and I wish I had pictures that truly showed my personality. I love to do things differently... and I love doing really cool Senior Pictures.

Karie had a lot of personality. We spent 3 hours walking all over Tempe with her and her mom, and even went into the night to get some great night shots.

They turned out so great!!! Thanks Karie for letting me do these for you! You were so much fun!

Janet and RJ

The 2nd engagement session that I did last week was for Janet and Rodolfo. They are getting married spring of next year and i'm so excited for the wedding. I had met Janet and her sister Kerry before but not RJ, so I was excited to get to know him. They make such a cute couple!

We started off the session at Freestone Park in Gilbert with their 2 kids (their little puppies). These 2 love their dogs and it was so much fun to see them all interact! We got some great pictures of the "family"!

We then did a few of just them around Freestone.


















And lastly we headed over to downtown Gilbert and got some great shots. I love downtown areas.. there is just so much you can do down there.

Engagement Session at The Farm

So right before I left for Hawaii I did 2 amazing engagement sessions, but I haven't been able to get them up until now. Actually I have one ready and i'm working on the other.

Aaryn and Mike are such a great fun couple. We met up at the Farm at South Mountain and had a great time taking pictures! Their wedding is coming up in December and i'm so excited for it!

California Fires

My heart and prayers go out to all who are having to go through this horrible experience with the fires. I have many clients, photographer friends, and other friends who are having to deal with all these fires and it is so horrible.

Please be praying for everyone. My parents have had to go through this many times in the last year living in the mountains of Arizona, so this hits very close to home.

I must share this because as I told you all Jessi is the sweetest person ever! I just got a call, about an hour after I had posted the pictures online, from Jessi. She is in the airport right now getting ready to get on her flight with Matt, her wonderful new husband, to go to Hawaii. She received a text from a friend telling her that the pictures were posted online so she pulled out her laptop, looked at the pictures, and then called me to tell me she LOVED them and was so happy! How much fun is that? I love excited brides, but Jessi tops the charts so far.. I've never received a call from in the airport on the way to the honeymoon! You rock girl!!! And I'm so glad you and Matt love them... I had a blast Saturday! Congratulations... and relax and have fun!!

Saturday I had the great pleasure of photographing Jessi and Matt's wedding. The Wedding and reception were held at Monterra at Westworld, and they did a great job with everything. I met Jessi about 2 years ago when she asked me to photograph their wedding and she is one of the sweetest people I have ever met.

The wedding was wonderful and I had so much fun with the wedding party as well! Thank you all for such a great day!!! Enjoy all the pictures!!!

I found this tunnel while I was doing a family shoot, it was in the same area as the wedding and we needed to find a place to do pictures, so we went here. I'm so happy with the results and I love it that the wedding party and Matt and Jessi were totally troopers when I took them to such a strange place for pictures. Jessi kept telling everyone to buck up because the pictures were going to be awesome!! I love Brides who have full confidence in me:):)

New Blog

We were having major issues with our new blog so we have had to change again. In the next few days there may be some bugs that we are trying to figure out, so please bear with us!! Please note that if you have an RSS feed for the other blog you might need to redo the feed. I'm not sure yet but I will blog on it once I find out! Thanks for your patience while we are trying to figure everything out.

Kauai from a Helicopter

Well tomorrow is our last day here in Hawaii and today was our last day of really being able to see the Island, so we decided to take a helicopter ride around the Island to see all that Kauai offers and all the beautiful waterfalls. We got some great photos and had a lot of fun in the process. Here are a few of my favs... this place truly is gorgeous!!!

Pilot Floyd did a great job and also took a ton of pictures for us!! He’s a natural!!! He actually used to live in Arizona but joined the Military and has been traveling the world. He’s been doing this for a year and a half and is a great guide!! He’s leaving to go back to AZ in a few days so who knows.. you might run into him there! Thanks for everything Floyd and thanks for serving!!!

Jonna and Andy's Day After Session

Today was a great day! Melissa and I slept in a little and then we met up with Jonna and Andy for their Day After Pictures. The Day After Pictures are a great way to get some really artistic and different pictures that you really aren’t able to do on the wedding day.

We found some of the neatest places to take pictures and the one above is my favorite from the entire session. We found an old Mill that was not working anymore. We kinda ignored the signs that said to not trespass but it was so worth it. This place was phenomenal and we got some amazing pictures!

We then headed over to the beach and got some pictures of Andy and Jonna making out in the water! HAWT!!!!

More Hawaii

Some more pictures from our travels yesterday. Melissa and I decided to drive around the island after we dropped off Sarah at the airport. This place is gorgeous!

Andy and Jonna in Hawaii

Yesterday Jonna and Andy were married in beautiful Kauai, Hawaii. The day was amazing and went off so smoothly. I’m here in Hawaii with Melissa Jill and we were both able to shoot the wedding. You can look at her blog to see some other pictures from the day that she took, but below are some of my favorites from the day.

Jonna and her girlfriends all had a spa day at the Hyatt and Melissa got a little of that, but I got to hang out with the guys while they played golf and relaxed. Then both Jonna and Andy got ready at the house that they rented.. it was beautiful and it was also the location of the reception. Their wedding was at shipwreck beach and was beautiful.

I’ve always wanted to photograph a wedding in Hawaii and I am so thankful for this opportunity... it was amazing. Thank you both, I had such a great time!

Jennifer and Nick Day After Session

The Day after Session is such a great way to really spend time getting some great pictures of you and your new husband. I told Jennifer about this and she was all for it. We made this somewhat of a trash the dress session, in the sense that I asked her to do things that I would normally not ask a bride to do in their wedding dress. We got some amazing pictures and Jennifer and Nick were both so excited to do the session. Nick couldn’t stop talking about getting in the water so I made sure it happened. And I have to let you all know that the water was FREEZING... October in Michigan is not the warmest so they were such troopers... I was totally impressed!!

I also get to check # 60 off my 101 in 1001 list because I successfully shot a trash the dress session.

I would love to shoot more of these because they are really the best way we can get some amazing pictures. Trashing the dress does not mean that we kill the dress completely; it really means we are able to do things that you normally wouldn’t do. If you would like to do one of these sessions let me know and we can schedule it; you don’t have to be newly married, you could be married for 1 day to 20 years... it’s open to anyone.

Come on people let’s get some killer shots and let’s get a little dirty in the process!!! ENJOY!
